2009 marked the Quintennial year of the Living Photo Booth, and this year in 2010, we are celebrating with the launch of the mega site of all the photos from the past six years.
This year, 2010, we will be at the Coney Island Aquarium with the Mermaid Parade Ball. Come be photograhed and purchase a pic online after the event for the special period the work with be up, partial proceeds to go to support Coney Island Museum and Coney Island USA. Thanks to everyone who has participated in this ongoing project and adventure. Special thanks to Jon Miguel Delgado for his endless help and technical support, lighting advice, and hauling of equipment. Thanks also to Jonathan Heck, Andrea Cacesse, Terence Caulkins, Jim Bartzlozzi, Kate Bartholous, Aaron Beebe, and many others who have helped be my additional arms, eyes, and legs during this arduous project which is such a real labor of love.
There has never been a more fascinating project than documenting in both an artistic and soliciological way the continuing evolution of all of us who love and are a part of the Coney Island summer solstice celebration.
